Yesterday, I was pleasantly surprised to receive an email from Nebraska mom Marnyka Buttry who thought to try the Pure Sleep Now audio with her preschool-aged son, Chase (pictured here with his dad, mom Marynka, and baby brother.)

Marnyka said:

“Wendy, I just wanted to let you know that my 3 yr-old falls asleep with this audio within 20 minutes of it being on. He has a very active brain as most little ones do and it is hard for him to fall asleep right away. Its been awhile since I personally listened to the Pure Sleep Now audio.    I caught part of it yesterday, though, while downloading it onto my daughter’s iPod.  (That’s her, wide awake, on the left.)

If you use the audio, you will understand when I tell you that I recorded it spontaneously one day.  You can probably tell that I’m not following a script and and the words, pacing and guidance are natural and off-the-cuff.

The lack of ‘polish’, shall we say, didn’t seem to matter when we tested the effectiveness of the audio initially.   We were, and still are, pretty sure that its hardly the spoken words that put the listener to sleep, but the ‘energy’ underlying them.

Yesterday I wondered however, whether making some tweaks and edits might enhance the experience of it for some users.   Maybe I should cut out the short description at the beginning, for example.

Since we’ve got this easy interactive vehicle of a blog, I thought I’d toss the question out to let users respond.
